GoatRicher ("the app") is owned and operated by Opucation E-Learning Private Limited, a company registered in India ("we", "us", "our"). These terms are an agreement between you and us.
By creating an account, signing in, or using GoatRicher, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
These terms cover the GoatRicher mobile app and any related services we operate, including its community features: notes, discussions, comments, reels, test series, groups, and private and group messages.
GoatRicher exists so that aspirants can study together. To keep it useful and safe, the following are not allowed anywhere in the app: in notes, discussions, comments, reels, test series, group names, profiles, or private and group messages.
Content that you create, upload or publish on GoatRicher, including notes, discussions, replies, comments, reels, MCQ sets, test series and any other study material ("User Content"), is created and published by you alone. Opucation E-Learning Private Limited ("Opucation", "we") does not author, commission, review, verify or endorse User Content before it is published. We act only as an intermediary that stores and displays User Content at your request, within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
You keep ownership of your User Content. So that the app can work, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, reproduce, display and distribute it inside GoatRicher and to show your display name and photo beside it. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already held on other users' devices. Published content is visible to other users, as described in section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible and liable for your User Content: for its accuracy; for holding every right, licence and permission needed to publish it; and for its compliance with these terms, the Community Rules in section 4 and applicable law, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Copyright Act, 1957, and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. In particular you must not publish leaked, stolen or confidential examination material, copied books or paid courses, or another person's work without permission.
If any claim, demand, penalty, fine or legal proceeding is brought against Opucation because of your User Content, you agree to indemnify Opucation and its directors, employees and agents against all resulting losses, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees.
Before you publish for the first time, the app requires you to read and accept a publishing agreement that restates this section. We record the date, time and version of your acceptance.
We may remove, hide or restrict User Content, and suspend or terminate accounts, at any time and with or without notice, where we consider it necessary to comply with the law, these terms or a lawful order, or to protect users.
Messages must follow section 4 like everything else in the app. They are visible only to the people in the conversation, and they are not end-to-end encrypted.
To deal with abuse in a conversation, block the account. If you want us to act as well, email us (section 14) with the handle and the details; we may then review the messages concerned. Do not message people who have asked you to stop.
The Briefing, Intellectual Analysis, daily Goat questions, practice and challenge questions, explanations, notes and any other study material published by GoatRicher itself ("GoatRicher Material") are produced with the help of artificial-intelligence systems and automated tools and are reviewed by us with due care. Despite that review, GoatRicher Material may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. It is provided for general examination preparation only, "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for a particular purpose.
Do not rely on GoatRicher Material blindly. Verify every fact, answer, explanation and result that matters to you, including practice questions and their answers, against official and independent sources before acting on it. Every challenge, test and question is designed to support your preparation; none is a substitute for your own study and none is advice. We are here to support you, but you alone are responsible for your preparation, for your answers in any examination and for every decision you take on the basis of the app.
All rights, title and interest in GoatRicher Material, including the copyright in the Briefing and Intellectual Analysis, belong to Opucation E-Learning Private Limited. You may read GoatRicher Material for your personal preparation, and share individual items with friends and family for their personal, non-commercial use, provided the material is unaltered and credited to GoatRicher. You may not sell, license, rent, republish, reproduce in bulk, scrape, use to train any software or model, or otherwise commercially exploit GoatRicher Material. For any other use, write to nikhil@goatricher.com and obtain our prior written permission.
GoatRicher is not connected with UPSC, SSC, any State Public Service Commission, any banking or railway recruitment board, or any other examination authority, and we do not guarantee selection, marks or results.
KiteCoins, ranks, streaks and badges are virtual. They have no cash value, and cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money. We may change how they are earned, or reset them, if we find manipulation or a bug.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be available at all times, free of errors, or suited to your particular preparation needs, and we may change, pause or withdraw any feature.
GoatRicher is a platform, an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. User Content is published by, and is the responsibility of, the person who publishes it (section 5). We do not select, approve or edit it before it appears, and we are not liable for it. We take due care to keep out sexual, abusive and illegal material, act on reports as described in section 6, and comply with valid legal orders, but we cannot check everything and we do not promise that nothing improper will ever appear. Your dealings with other users are between you and them.
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Opucation is not liable for any loss, damage or consequence, direct or indirect, arising from any error or omission in GoatRicher Material or User Content, from your reliance on either, from your performance in any examination, or from any interruption of the app. Our total liability to you for anything arising from your use of GoatRicher is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, which for a free app is nil. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
You can stop using the app at any time, and delete your account from inside it (section 3).
We may suspend or permanently close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the app. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
We will update these terms when the app changes. The date at the top always shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts at Agra, Uttar Pradesh, unless the law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
